On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Genoa Healthcare hosted a grand opening for the newest pharmacy at COPE’s Northwest Integrated Care Clinic. The partnership between Genoa and COPE has spanned over 13 years — with a shared vision of integrated care that increases the health and well-being of those most in need.
This addition to the NW Clinic marks the fifth on-site pharmacy across the organization, streamlining pharmacy services to our members and improving their access to care.
COPE and Genoa Healthcare staff attended the event, which included ribbon-cutting, tours, and a catered lunch.
Siobhan O’Boyle, Chief Operations Officer for COPE, shared remarks on behalf of the organization, emphasizing the significance of integrating pharmacy services into COPE’s model of care, noting that access to on-site medication has been essential to delivering truly integrated care.
She praised the role Genoa staff have played as extended members of the COPE team, often uncovering critical health information that enhances patient care coordination.
“This partnership has always been about what’s best for the patients,” she said, expressing deep gratitude to Genoa for continuing to expand services even in smaller clinic settings. She acknowledged how excited the staff were to have the pharmacy on-site and highlighted the convenience and expertise it brings to both patients and providers.
Joey Pellerito, Director of Pharmacy Operations for Genoa Healthcare, spoke on behalf of their organization, stating, “The ability to be onsite and integrate with COPE’s healthcare teams allows us to take care of members in a unique way, including navigating any barriers patients may be facing in receiving their medication.”
Joey noted that Genoa looks forward to continuing its partnership with COPE and offering the community one-of-a-kind specialized pharmacy care.
