COPE Is an approved HRSA STAR Loan Repayment Program (LRP) Provider

The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) gives behavioral health providers up to $250,000 to repay school loans in exchange for working full-time for six years at an approved site. The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) oversees this new program designed to help recruit and retain a more diverse set of behavioral health providers focused on combating the substance use disorder (SUD) epidemic. COPE is pleased to have several STAR LRP-approved facilities — and the opportunity for new applicants and current employees to apply for student loan repayment! On the other hand, if you need finance for other ventures, a lump sum such as a merchant cash advance may be ideal.

Apply for loan repayment and start working for COPE by July 22, 2021, to take advantage of this amazing opportunity!

HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) launched a new program to further support combating the nation’s opioid crisis. The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) expands access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment by adding several new disciplines, including bachelor’s-level SUD counselors, behavioral health paraprofessionals, and clinical support staff. The program also broadens access to the clinical best practice of a “warm handoff” and recognizes the effectiveness of integrated SUD treatment teams.

Eligible health professionals can receive up to $250,000 in exchange for a six-year, full-time service commitment at an expanded variety of SUD facility types. Find out if you’re eligible and apply for the STAR-LRP by July 22, 7:30 p.m. ET.

COPE does not determine eligibility for loan reimbursement through the HRSA STAR LRP program.
